As many of you fashionistas/os know, we’re currently in the midst of autumn/winter fashion weeks. Though designer collections may vary in style, one thing is common to all runways: the inescapable presence of social media .Both attendees and brands are using platforms like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and the new newly launched six second looping video service Vine to capture and share the best sartorial moments in real-time. (Even supermodel, turned-reality competition host Coco Rocha even hilariously pokes fun of the trend!)
As a result of this constant (over)sharing, the fashion week experience has become more accessible, giving those of us who can’t jet-set to New York. London, Paris and Milan an all-access pass to fashion’s most exciting shows and parties.

During Sacramento Fashion Week, the Sacramento Social Media Club will host an interactive panel, “Social Gone Vogue: Sharing Stand-out Social Media Strategies” on Tuesday February 26th at IADT Sacramento, from 7-9 p.m. which brings together fashion industry professionals utilizing the power of social media. The discussion will focus on leveraging the various social media platforms to create brand awareness, drive traffic to blogs and an introduction into social listening. At the event, there will be time for noshing and networking and will conclude with a lively raffle with a fashionable twist.
