Julian Gutierrez has an excitingly unique approach in creating his clothing “I am inspired by what others may find disgusting and ugly.” Gutierrez’s garments and accessories are deeply influenced by his fears, personal flaws and anything striking that catches his eye. Gutierrez’s imagination really begins to start stirring when he is confronted by things that invoke a strong reaction in him, even things that would seem unsettling to the rest of us. Guitierrez aspires to make clothing and accessories for those who want to “confidently live outside the norm”. His aesthetic has consistently been inventive, just like the designer himself! Gutierrez is currently attending FIDM.
