We all have a story to tell but Maria Luna’s [story] is particularly inspiring in that she will become the very first undocumented model to walk the Sacramento Fashion Week runway.
Recent college graduate, Maria Luna, is an aspiring model who is not just another pretty face. A straight-A student in high school and college graduate with honors, Maria managed to accomplish her goals while enduring the challenges of being an undocumented immigrant. Armed with courage and ambition; Maria is now committed to advocating for the Dream Act legislation to help others in similar situations.
In addition to her political activism, she is also beginning a career in modeling with her debut runway appearance in February at Sacramento Fashion Week 2012. With this appearance, she looks forward to merging her passions and becoming the first publicly undocumented model to walk a fashion runway, which she hopes will empower others to follow their own dreams. Stay tuned for an exclusive Style Talk video interview in January.
