Caren Templet can really light up a room, both figuratively and literally. At least that’s what I found out when I sat in during her interview with Veronica Castro for Style Talk.

The minute she walked through the door into her boutique, located in downtown Sacramento on the corner of 18th street and L street, she proceeded to greet everyone with hugs and salutations…as well as turn on all the lights in the place for cameraman Will; whom she adoringly nicknamed “Black Jumper” (because of the particular black sweater he was wearing that night).

As “Black Jumper” set up the camera, Caren quickly put together an outfit for herself and for Ms. Castro. Caren wore a sophisticated black tuxedo jacket with some gorgeous glitter print black slacks (all of the women in the room were disappointed to learn the pants were one of a kind vintage), paired with pumpkin orange heels to show her holiday spirit. Veronica wore a light moss green printed jacket, featured in Caren Templet’s Fall 2011 Runway Show, along with a charcoal grey Caren Templet top with draping.

After a few outtakes and learning about how she uses the name “Kaylee” as an alias to make ordering coffee at Starbucks easier on the baristas, the interview got underway. Watch the interview below.
